Dear friends and colleagues,
From our research group GIBD (University of Valencia), we are pleased to welcome you and invite you to the XLVI International Congress of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials 2024 (SIBB-GIBD ’24). This congress follows the line of our group in terms of research and dissemination, constituting our VI GIBD CONGRESS.
GIBD is a group characterized by its composition, that is, researchers passionate about the Sciences of physical activity and sport, and especially linked to sports Biomechanics. Therefore, we decided to continue our path in the dissemination and passion for Biomechanics, which began in 2012 with the organization of our first congress and which was followed by others related to Biomechanics and running/cycling. All the members of our group have put their enthusiasm and collaboration into the organization of this congress, which allows, with the help of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials, to unite and deepen in a joint way through experiences and scientific communications, Sports Biomechanics, Biomaterials and Biomedicine.
We hope that the program of this congress meets the educational expectations of the attendees, where the Organizing and Scientific Committee has worked with enthusiasm, and is useful for the development of learning, exchange of ideas/concerns, as well as for the development of scientific/technical opportunities that allow the creation of scenarios for future collaborations.
The conference will be held at the headquarters of our GIBD group on the Ontinyent Campus (Valencia, Spain), in the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences (Universitat de València).
