Communications and Posters

All communications must be sent using the official Congress template (SIBB2024 – Summary Template).

The deadline for response on acceptance of communications is 04/10/2024

Half of the authors, plus one, must be registered for the conference. For example: If there are 5 authors, 3 of them must be registered.

Abstracts must follow the format indicated in the template and must be no longer than one DIN A4 page. The Congress is structured into 3 thematic areas:

• AR1: Sports Biomechanics
• AR2: Biomedicine
• AR3: Biomaterials

Authors must indicate in the template the code of the area to which they are sending their contribution. Also, in the header, check the box of preference in their contribution: Oral Communication, Poster, e-poster, as well as select the box if they are submitting for the Best Communication Award and/or the Travel Grant.

All abstracts of the works accepted at the Congress will be published in open access with a Creative Commons license in the UV institutional repository in an electronic book of proceedings with its corresponding ISBN.

Oral communications

• The author responsible for presenting the communication will have a maximum time of 10 min.
• Before the start of the communications session, the author responsible for the presentation must contact the session moderator to identify himself and upload his communication to the conference computer.

Poster

• The posters must be placed by the authors themselves in the place indicated by the organization.
• At least one poster author must remain with the poster at the time indicated by the organization for its public defense.

e-poster: The e-poster category is designed exclusively for researchers and students residing outside Spain/Portugal. The regulations and requirements for submitting e-posters are detailed below:

• Format and Content:
  • The e-poster presentation will be done using a virtual poster, recorded using the PowerPoint application or a similar tool.
  • The recording must include the camera of the researcher(s), who should present their work within one of the three areas of the conference: sports biomechanics, biomaterials, or biomedicine.
  • The duration of the presentation should not exceed 5 minutes.
  • The template provided by the conference must be used to prepare the poster.
• Shipping Process:
  • Interested parties must submit their proposal following the same mechanism established for oral communications (sending the summary using a template), but clearly indicating in the selection: e-poster.
  • The registration fee for the e-poster category is €35.
• Rights and Benefits:
  • Registration for the e-poster category includes:
    • the presentation during the congress (playing of the videos during the congress)
    • the inclusion in the book of abstracts
    • certification of the presentation.
  • Registration does not include the right to attend the conference, nor access to other services and benefits (prizes) offered in the face-to-face modalities.
• Registration Requirements:
  • For a work to be accepted in the e-poster category, at least half plus one of the authors must be registered in this category.
• Presentation and Reproduction:
  • Accepted e-posters will be reproduced during the conference in the sessions designated for this purpose (see final program on the conference website).
